Winterizing 454 crusader
New to winterizing engines and just want to double check with all of you. I have a closed cooling system and am looking to winterize the raw water side by pulling the water pump hose and attaching it to a five gallon bucket of anti freeze mixed at a 50/50 ratio. Do you think this is enough coolant t...

Boat just pulled for winter
Question for all you experienced winterizing people. I am in Pittsburgh and they just pulled my boat yesterday for the winter. I am unable to get to the marina until Saturday and I see that the temp will dip to 29 tonight. I have Fresh water cooled Crusaders so I know that is fine but do I have to w...

winterizing
Should you tape off the exhaust holes after winterizing the engines? I see some boaters do cover the exhaust outlets and others don't. Any right or wrong?

454 Crusader
Hi all, I purschased my 1989 10.8 meter late last year and what a great boat! During my first winterizing I decided to drain the block and manifold and refill with fresh stuff since I had no idea how old it was. I found that the starboard engine antifreeze looked pretty good but the port was extreme...

Winter Tarp
Looking for some advice. This is my first year winterizing my 10.8 meter and am hoping to cover the boat with a tarp. The LOA is 35 and the boat has a bridge as well as a radar arch. Anyone familiar with what size tarp I will need? What type of measurements should I take to figure it out???? I was t...

Macerator
Do you need to move a lever to direct it to the macerator or just turn on the pump out switch? It looks like I just hit the switch. I am new to boating and many other boaters seem to think I would need the open a shut of lever on the hose and also turn the pump on. I don't see any lever?????

10.8 Macerator pump
Just following up to my original maceratot pump question. I have been told that I should have a y valve prior to the pump so that I can direct either to the pump or to the pump out. I do see the y valve but I do not see any type of lever to divert one way or the other. Is it possible it may not have...

Adding swim platform
I am looking to add a swim platform to my 1989 10.8 international. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a used one or maybe have one made?
