Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
Thanks for the info Bob, I think I will go that route but split two doors one on the swim platform and then one to access the cockpit. I already bought a small 30 x 36 or I would just get a 30 x 72. So if I buy another 30 x 36 I should be able to keep them a foot or so apart from each other. So I'll...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
All tucked away for the winter. I wanted to put a zipper door on but I'm not sure where to put it. I bought a 30" x 36" door. Any ideas? And I thought I had a nice size boat. Look at the monster they parked to the right of mine. LOL

Re: Leaking Transmission
Sounds like your raw water pump needs rebuilt or replaced. If there is play on that pully it needs new bearings at minimum. Easy rebuild if you have a shop press to press the bearings in and out and to press the pulley off and on. Very important part of the cooling system on the boat. Don't run to m...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
Looking forward to spring to work on the F-32 sedan. Engine tune ups on the top of the list. My question is what spark plug wires is everyone using? Right know mine run in between the valve cover and exhaust manifold. It almost seems that I would have to remove the manifolds just to run new wires. I...

Re: fuel water separators
Good to know BigD thanks for the info. I didn't realize the ethanol would affect the gas lines and filters. Just thought it was the old galvanized tanks and fill pipe/hoses. I run strictly non ethanol fuel so maybe that's why everything is still ok. Went thru all the filters this past summer and eve...

Re: fuel water separators
What's wrong with the original fuel/water separators? They have a drain plug in the bottom to drain the water, they are approved for the engine bay and the filters are like 20 bucks. The copper lines are the safest lines you could have in your boat in my opinion.

Re: 1976 F-32 Fuel Line Size
I went to Lakeland Auto and Marine in Port Clinton, Ohio and they hooked me up. The use an available inline filter with two adapters to fit the original fuel line fittings. I had to relocate the line support piece but that was easily done with a piece of 1/8" x 3/4" steel flat bar. I have ...

Forgot to show everyone the new light fixture over the galley stove. Mine was missing so I found this one on Amazon. Worked out pretty good I think.

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
Here is a picture of my new mast light. One more step closer to everything working again. For some reason my upper helm Anchor and Nav switch works as it should. The lower helm Nav switch works as it should. But my lower helm Anchor light switch does nothing. I'm going to have to pull the whole swit...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
Finished up a few more items on my F-32. I redid the carpeting and the hatch carpet in the v=berth. Now I can access the bilge without pulling up the whole piece of carpet. I also Installed the new to me mast light. I was able to get the original mast light from a fellow Trojan owner who was install...

Re: fuel tank replacement
Ah I see, I do know that using the gas with ethanol added is a big no no. The ethanol will loosen up the crud and it will eventually plug up the filters. But I have a 1976 F-32 and I just changed my filters that were dated 3/23/16 and they were remarkably clean. I checked the small filter that in my...
