Re: Changed fuel filter today oh wow.
Are you sure? This is a brand new assembly on eBay same thing I have http://m.ebay.com/itm/371883067850?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275&_mwBanner=1 It feeds from the tank through the water seperator into this filter then into the pump it takes a vintage fram GC3 fuel filter in the glass bowl that's...

Re: Newbie looking for some basic advice
14k is a lot of money to throw away when you don't know what you are looking at I would just spend the extra money and have a full survey done. When you make your offer you say it's contingent on a satisfactory survey and the seller almost always agrees to let you have it done if they don't they are...

Re: Changed fuel filter today oh wow.
I took it apart and filled it with clean fuel again and changed the water seperator filter too so now there's clean fuel in the lines but it would seem I've messed something up the filter bowl won't stay full any ideas?

Changed fuel filter today oh wow.
Well the guy I got the boat from said it sat 8 years I thought he was exaggerating since I fired up the boat and ran it after I bought it just to make sure it ran and it did just fine. Went to change the fuel filter since I am just performing standard maintenance getting it ready for the water. I th...

Re: Photobucket revoked third party hosting (photo linking)
From what I can tell the pictures and links are still there but the pictures that show up on forums are gone. Definitely annoying

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?
I'm worried about keeping it correct but digital gauges on screens would be real nice. I realized I have gauges on a boat I'm parting out so I'm just going to connect them and see if things change. But I do have the garmin gps and fish finder so the upgrade may happen this winter if I can't get the ...

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?
Thank you Bob I will text you guys for the pic... I don't have a TRJ number just the working HIN 2512053 and that plate is actually under the steering wheel in my boat. I appreciate the response I think my boat was built 3rd shift on a Friday haha just stick it in there and let's go home.

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?
It turns out the sender and gauge are backward when I raise the float the gauge drops and vice versa why would it reverse the reading. Alternator tested good when I brought it to a repair shop. I chased all grounds today and none are disconnected or anything they all have continuity. I just can't wr...

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?
So I put the new electrical sending unit in (checked it first for resistance band at different float levels) and no change in the gauge it's still pegged past full but it isn't touching the wall anymore it's now just floating in the way over full area. I can see the bottom of the tank so it's not fu...

Re: Transducer permanently in the hull?
Sorry RCA I blanked thank you... at least it is a transducer then? Maybe I can make it work? Google told me how to separate the wires and connect it to a newer depth gauge. Now does anyone have a picture of where they mounted a newer back of the boat transducer on a 25' the space between the trim ta...

Transducer permanently in the hull?
This resembles a transducer but the connection is VGA? Can it be converted to standard multi wire or do I need to somehow replace the whole thing? Pictures of the connection and the unit because maybe it's not what I think it is. http://i730.photobucket.com/albums/ww307/alpha_justin/20170713_105223_...

Re: Backward battery now gauges dead?
Mine does have wires connected that run into the loom and disappear but they are connected which is a good sign but also a bad sign. I'm going to have to try to buy one to test if it's just the wires in the loom don't connect to the wires in the dash or if the tach is shot. Local marina sold me on a...
