Re: 2 engines, better chances of not getting stranded?!
Put another way, you double the chances of an engine not starting, but increase the chance of being able to return home!

Re: Steering Slop Fix
I know this is an older topic but you can also check your chain tensioners in the lower helm. Mine were loose after minute gear wear and chain stretch.

Re: Show me your V-Berth
Hi Barrie, I don't believe the bunks were standard or even offered. I guess they were added at some point. My boat use to sleep 9  4 in the V-berth, 2 in the salon and another 3 in the aft cabin. the port bed in the aft cabin was extended to a queen size bed. This is the one I am currently u...

Re: Looking at the "Black Stripe"
Hey Barrie, thanks. Yeah there are so many bad paint jobs that I might sand er right down. By the way, I recall this post, how are the patches you made holding up? Did u use reinforced fiber stuff? I need to do that too. Here is mine from the rear.

Re: Carter rebuild kit help ???
I just paid $350. Seriously, farm it out if you or someone you know haven't done it. Its not that fun and you don't want to second guess the work.

Looking at the "Black Stripe"
 Some initial attempts to touch up the black stripe, a racoon-like mask around the rear stateroom of the trifly, have made me think about eliminating it. Initially it seems the stripe has been painted on? Can this be true? Or is it gelcoat? Anyone know? The rest of the project goes well! So f...

Re: Compounding Question
Any procedural advice for buffing under the windows on that 6" wide strip? Tape it? Use the edge of the buffer etc? No clue and trying not to hate buffing and waxing.

Re: 1987 F36 Tri-Cabin - prop sizing
Sorry. Should have marked this to respond. I have 20x19s that were just redone and I have the sheets on. I do have vee drives. They are three blade and I like the handling a lot. I think the plunge of the shaft angle may give me more maneuverability due to the vees.
