Re: Moving the engine seacocks

I have a 1986 Trojan 37 Sport Sedan. The engine seacocks are in a very strange place, aft of the engines almost right against the aft engine room bulkhead. You can't access the seacocks unless you lift the floor over each engine to get at them. The genset sits between the engines so there is less t...

Re: 12 meter mystery tank

But it appears this is UNUSED on the 12 meter motor yacht, as we have an aluminum cylindrical tank (right beside the water heater and under the dinette set) that I have verified is the one we are filling when we fill the water inlet. This seems like aftermarket to me. You picture looks exactly like...

Re: Cappy's f32 rehab

We use products from Yacht Devices. They are easy to hook up and they make a wide range of not only sensors, but control products for NMEA2000. How do those hook up? Directly to the NMEA backbone, that's why I like them. This is my engine room temp sensor. yacht_designs_nmea_2000_thermometer_apanbo...

Re: 10 meter people load limit?

We had 16 on our 12m sedan for the boat parade. I don't take more than 10 offshore fishing. But those are both function and comfort items. The boat is so heavy I have never seen a handling difference either way.

On the 12 meter it is accessed through the closet in the Master. Not sure of the 10m layout.

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

Maintenance costs for the vacuflush are insignificant. The soft goods are duckbill valves and the vacuum seal at the bottom of the bowl Diaphragms on the pump - or replace the pump I am the second owner of a 1983 International - owned her since 2001 Did a major mechanical refit in 2006 to diesels a...

Vacu-flush is the only way to go. Even if mine broke, I'd replace it with the same.

In Florida, marinas are doing away with the tape, and charging based on the slip size, not the boat size.

In saltwater, we use Bromine tablets.
