Re: 10 Meter Mid Cabin Fuel Tank

2 options... 1. Pull the motors and cut the stringers... 2. Pull the motors and cut the deck... Either way, there is no way to remove the tanks without cutting. At least that was what I found. I hope that you can find a different way. It seems crazy that I had to do it that way. Also, check the stri...

is it painted or vinyl?
It is painted...

You'd need to wet sand to remove it. It takes a lot of elbow grease.

Re: 89 10 meter mid cabin packing

Does anyone know what size packing I need for the propeller shafts? I Am thinking of using GFO Any thoughts? Thx rr 1/4” is the correct size. There’s a couple of great posts about GFO material. Some are older posts so try a google search on it. Also make sure you check temps. I used GFO and it took...

Re: Mid cabin parts questions

I have the deck mounts for the seat. My original invoice mentions it the L seat and the wer bar. Hope someone chimes in with dimensions. I looked and didnt see any mounting for those bumpers but I'll double check that spot. Thanks! I would love to swap to a larger ladder my family dives ans that on...

Re: 10 meter mid cabin bilge

I recently found oil in the water in the forward bilge after exposing the mid cabin bilge I found it had remnants of some pretty nasty water about 3 or 4 inches deep I'm guessing it ran forward under the fresh water tank to the forward bilge albeit at a very slow pace the engine bilge recently expe...

Re: Mid cabin parts questions

The aft seats were an option on all the 10 meter boats. Anyone who has that option should be able to provide you with the measurements. The brackets allow the seat to be lifted to access hatches and storage locker. The swim ladder is a pain. I've replaced the bumper 2 times and it just dry rots and ...

Re: New to me Trojan 10 meter

Alright we are getting there. Ran it today and topped out at 21mph and 3k rpms on port motor 2.5k on starboard. I think i need to rebuild the stbd carb and then retune them. Should get what I need then. When I bought this boat top speed was 7mph. Then hull cleaned and got 13mph now 21. Factory spec...

Re: Fresh water tank on a 89 10 meter mid-cabin

I probably have some pictures I can dig up...The tank is fiberglassed in between the two stringers. As Mr Rudely said, stick your head down in a preferably dry bilge...and look towards the rear of the boat. You should see a barbed fitting with the hose connected to it. Interestingly enough, mine did...

Re: Spring Project 154: Carburetor Upgrade

Thank you for all the advice. For some reason I stopped getting notification of replies so I missed a few of these. I ended up flaring the existing lines and adding a section of A1 hose with a filter. I dont love this setup and will be changing it. So far, the carbs run great. Just need to tune them...

Re: Spring Project 154: Carburetor Upgrade

I've been at every auto parts store that's still turns out, its just 3/8 inverted flare. I had read that A1 rubber hose was approved for marine use, but finding a 3/8 inverted flare to barbed proved to be harder than I thought. Long story short, I made my own lines temporarily and I will be looking ...

Great share Bob! Just did both of mine yesterday. First time in 2 years...to my surprise, they were both in perfect aesthetic condition! Still, I changed them out and feel much more confident this year...
