Mike, That sure was funny what Jeff said about the bridge pics. I quess from the angle of the picture, it could look like a barge. No offense taken. That was the first time I thought that I got in over my head. Believe me, looking at it in real life it looked 10x worse. Thanks to input from members ...

Thanks for all your kind words. Yes, Nancy she is on the Mohawk River at a marina in Albany County. Michael, you are welcome anytime for a ride on the mighty Mohawk. It's not like the drinking quality of water that you are used to though. Aaron, thanks I like the way the TV came out too. The 32"...

The last row of page 4 is of the bridge under demolition and the second row of page 5 are the finished product. Sorry about the tree debris on deck. What a diff...

I have 6.3 hours and 6.1 on the meters and just topped the tanks with 14 and 13 gals of fuel. Agreed most of time was between 700 to 2200 rpms. Short one minute burst to 3600 rpms. Fresh rebuilds, did not want to abuse them during break-in period. I will have to update my avatar, after her face lift...

fuel burn
I calculated the fuel burn rate for my break-in time. 2.2 gals per hour per engine. That is an average of all speeds, idle thru a short run at 3600 rpm. This also includes time to set dwell, timing and carbs. Very happy with that economy. The engines are 5.8L, 351W Fords 233hp with 2 bl carbs. Test ...

Synthetic oil
I am planning on changing the oil when I reach 10 hours of break-in time, and was considering using full synthetic oil instead of the Mercury 25W40 conventional oil. You say.....
A side note, I have to change my avatar because she looks nothing like she did before.

Splashed today !!!!!!!!
After 15 years of sitting on the hard, we splashed her today. Wow, what a feeling!! Two coats of bottom paint, new boot stripe. Hours of buffing and a coat of wax. It's a good day.....
She feels better floating on the water, instead of just rain water.
