Re: 13 meter upgrades
Hi folks I received some messages asking what is going on with my boat, so here is an update. The boat and engines sat like this until the end of June http://i1011.photobucket.com/albums/af233/dougnash/IMG_0697_zpspvbmuluk.jpg Then we turned the boat around and put the engines in between the boat an...

I believe you want to look at "screw cover vinyls"
Try to place one order for everything you need, they bang you pretty good for shipping & handling

Re: Detroit 671TI on a Trojan 40' Motor Yatch
Open up the hatch(s) to the engine room and see if it gets better. I had a 46' with twin detroits that did not have adequate ventilation built into the boat. Had to add some air intakes. Funny you mention that My boat didn't come with the standard air intakes typically seen on the sides of the hull...

Re: 13 meter upgrades
I'm confused.... Are you switching to 8v71's or 6v71's? 8v71tti Manual says 8v71ti is 462hp But I have the tti (twin turbo) I think they are more HP I did some more measuring today My stringers are 31" on center and so are the engine mounts for the 8v71's I have a total of 34" in between ...

Re: Detroit 671TI on a Trojan 40' Motor Yatch
Not getting full RPM and black smoke means diesel is not being burned and not enough air I believe. I had this problem with one of my engines I took off the cover to the aftercooler and found all this crap on the fins blocking air I took my wet vac and just got all that out of their and back to norm...

Re: 13 meter upgrades
Sorry you had to deal with that crook . I have a few questions and concerns on your new engines ? HP and hours ? Have you had a real DD guy check them out ? Also the fit , your new engines have deep oil pans then some of the 671s . I ask because this was a issue on the last 671 I replaced . The rep...

Re: wire shelves for closet????
Turned out pretty good. top shelf is about 35 inches deep. second shelf is 20inches. decided to leave the bottom open to store larger things. http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg144/Yorklyn/Double-Pote-N-Sea%20forward%20stringer%20rot/2014-02-23165947_zpsa3049210.jpg That came out awesome! Re: 13 meter upgrades
Port side storage compartments, the forward one has the original box with slider doors that never work and just cause the user stress. The subwoofer box goes in the forward compartment, the rear will be housing an A/C-heat unit for the upper cockpit eventually. When the companion seat is in place yo...

Re: wire shelves for closet????
This is the closet in the side stateroom, it has a rod in it but the closet is just used for storage. There is just never enough space on boats to keep all yer stuff. The cushions are the inserts for the dinette when it converts to a bed, they are big and bulky, nowhere else to put them. http://i101...

Great job! love the spools of wire! my old windless had a 25 ft run of #10 wire! cant believe it never caught on fire! Keep up the good work! You are correct! Box is made out of starboard and heat we...
