Re: Hydraulic steering
Instant Fun has SeaStar (Teleflex) hydraulic steering at 2 helms. No electric assist or hydraulic assist from the engines, just the manual pump at each helm. Steers like butter with one finger in the wheel. In fact you can spin the wheel while underway.

Re: Battery configuration
You can see the Blue Sea remote battery switches to the right side of the helm, behind the wheel.

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal
Your work is looking really good. I've been doing similar stuff on my own F32 for the past 30 years. I'm not sure how to view my earlier posts over the years, but if you can it may give you some ideas and inspiration. Good luck to you!

Upgraded Lower Helm
Spent the last week upgrading the lower helm to accommodate new Garmin 7612xsv. No more having to look over and around the previous bail mount 4212 and throttles.

Re: Drone video F32
Thanks. Yes, Garmin 4' open array. A guy bought it for his 28' Bayliner only to discover it was too big for the boat. I got it new in the box for $1,200.

Re: Icy thoughts
Some thoughts on icing... Ice forming on the surface of the water around the boat is really no big deal, even several inches thick, unless of course you wanna go somewhere, then you might cause some damage. The worry is through-hull fittings that are just above the waterline, and which can be pushed...

Our season is a bout six months. I'm averaging about 250 engine hours per season.

My apologies guys, but this seems worth posting once more as we wait for next year. Winter in Alaska doesn't get us any real-time posting opportunities. In the video are the Whittier, Alaska based F32's Dreamer and Instant Fun.
