Hey gang, ‘Twas Monkeying around today in the boat, and I happen to notice I’m missing the starboard side shaft key. I figured the (now) cooler/cold water may have had something to do with it as well.

Under the shifter, I removed the cotter pin & backed the barrel-nut off about 6 or 7 turns. Problem solved!

Yes, I have the emergency start button. And you would be correct—there is no ground, which puzzled me.

How would I test if this thing even works? I was planning to install a battery switch and extra battery per motor—that would be a better option, no?

Both black ends cables aren’t attached to anything—I was under the assumption each would possibly go to a positive terminal on each battery?

I’m going to stop over tomorrow after work and try to trace the red wiring.

I'm planning to coat the new wood with exterior polyeurethane--likely tomorrow afternoon after things dry out from the past 2 days of rain showers. Is that sufficient, or should I consider another product?
