spare parts

Dont forget parts for the genny & head. I keep most replaced parts as spares if they are servicable for emergency use.Having good quality replacement parts on hand can save you time when you have a mechanic who has to order everything that he needs.

TK 416 Do yourself a big favor and get a reputable mechanic to explain what is on your boat first before you start ripping things apart. deck covering

On a previous wooden boat I used nautilex material that covered the decks. you have to use their latex glue. This is a marine grade material and comes in a variety of colours. Very easy to apply

Here is what we did to address the fridge problem. NO,NO,NO. mount the charger in the salon starboard side aft behind the last sliding door that way it has ventalation (panel open) & no moisture. Pictures can be supplied. If the chager has a built in meter u can monitor what the batteries are getting.

Dont forget to close the sea-cock. Also it helps if you mark the rotation of the pulley so you can try it before re-installation to make sure that the impeller vanes are going in the right direction. apply a lubricant to the vanes (vaseline, white grease etc.) so the impeller does not start up dry.
