Hey Danny, Most of the time we tied up at the dock for comfort sake. The 6.5 Onan was locked-up when I bought her and we had to disconnect the toilet and shower as there was no holding tank so everything went straight overboard. The heat was so bad we just tied-up most afternoons so we could run the...

Long strange trip
Hey Danny & Tim, My best advise is to take tools and spare parts and give yourself enough leeway to take your time. Getting in a hurry may cost you as I found out the hard way when I fetched-up hard aground in Saint Helena Sound. If you have the time to do a little site seeing by all means do it...

What a long strange trip it`s been...
Just wanted to let folks know that Miss Kitty made the trip from Deltaville VA. down the ICW and parts of the Atlantic Coast, across Florida and back up the west side in one piece for the most part. We didnt make our final destination as of yet as we had to lay-up for prop repairs after hitting a su...

Oil / Vessells of OP. Program
Hey all, Anyone thinking about putting thier boat to work in the clean-up should be ready for a 8 to 10 page contract with BP. Also your vessell will need to have a (commercial) coastwise endorsement (name on bow) prior to March 31st. 2010. They also state that all vessells will need to be registere...

Heading South
Hey Rossjo, Will leave Deltaville VA. for a short shakedown to Norfolk. Then hit the ICW. to the Trans. Florida Waterway and across to Ft. Myers Fl. Then head north on the Gulf ICW. to just north of clearwater. Then across the Gulf to Appalachacola Fl. / If we are still alive and healthy at that poi...

Boat US
Hey all, Thanks for all the input. I took Pauls wise advise to shop around and saved myself about $2,000.00 a year. Went with Boat US. unlimited plus towing and Marine Underwriters for the Insurance. Fairly good coverage anywhere in U.S. up to 125 miles offshore but no coverage against uninsured boa...

Composting Toilets ?
Has anyone installed a composting toilet aboard thier boats? If so...Would like to get some input as a waterless toilet seems like it would require a cleaning after each use. I`m trying to get buyers feed-back on the Natures Head toilets. Are there any other brands you suggest or is the composting t...

Impeller replacement cost ?
Hey all, How much should one expect to pay for port-side impeller replacement on a 454 ? Would have done it myself but the ole girl is still in Virginia. Should be going to get her sometime next week. Looking forward to a lazy trip down ICW. then across Florida and Gulf. Thanks, Rick / F-36 Miss Kitty
