Re: Chromalox Cabin Heaters
My last boat showed heat towards the left of the temperature dial. As I got close to heat, the reversing valve would kick in and the unit would switch to heat. Does your system work the same way... minus the heat indication? I believe the temperature dial is marked "warmer" and "cool...

Re: Chromalox Cabin Heaters
Our Cruisair controls have three knobs. The top is Stop-Start-Run, the middle is fan speed and the bottom is temperature. There is no indication that we have heat and no switch from heat to A/C, just the thermostat setting the temp. Perhaps yours works the same way. You can convert to digital contro...

Re: 10 Meter Express new hardtop install
We only got a radar arch, but it was supposed to come with the hardware. I have not taken it out of the box because I need to store it for a couple weeks more, but I expect all the hardware will be there. There are instructions and videos on their website. I will say that I learned a lot from their ...

Re: 10 Meter Express new hardtop install
I recognize that railroad bridge in your first photo! We recently bought a radar arch from Atlantic Towers that I still have to install. It looks very nice, just like all their products that I have seen. The only issue we had was on the shipping side when they failed to notify me that it shipped, ca...

Re: Chromalox Cabin Heaters
Both of our A/C units are reverse cycle and heat well. I did not realize that when we bought the boat, but one cold day, I decided to check and was pleasantly surprised. We also have one of these small heaters that does a good job taking the chill off, but is not adequate to really heat the boat on ...

Re: F36 Thru Hull Identification
Could be an air vent to relieve pressure from the decaying action. Wouldn't want that puppy to blow!oil&water wrote:One thru hull looks like it went to the top of the recycling toilet. I have absolutely no idea what would come from the top of the toilet and flow overboard.

Bay Bridge Boat Show
Anybody else going? http://www.annapolisboatshows.com/bay-bridge-boat-show/
My wife and I will be there on Friday and could meet up if anyone else will be there the same day. The BBQ dinner on Friday has been good the previous years we went and is free with admission.

Re: F36 Thru Hull Identification
We don't have those three through holes on our boat. My guess is the top one is for the hand bilge pump that was in the hanging closet, maybe still is. We still have the pump, though it does not work. I never traced out the hose so no idea where the discharge is. The lower two right next to each oth...

Re: Rudder bearing removal
As I was reading your last post, I thought you were leading up to not getting the rudder out. Glad that was not so!

Re: F36 tri-cabin speed
18.5" diameter, 19 pitch. We usually can get to max RPM for our 440s with these props and a clean hull, but not always. Still need to install the Edelbrock 1409's and sort out some other stuff on the engines, but I suspect we will stick with these props. We usually cruise at 6-7 knots, so not a...

Re: F36 tri-cabin speed
The props that came on my boat were resized and re-pitched by the previous owner. A year later, he had them re-pitched again back to the original pitch. The props were never marked with the changes, so going by the markings on the props would be misleading.

Re: F36 tri-cabin speed
Props can be reworked to different pitch but not correctly marked. Are you sure about yours?
