Forward drain and thru hull replacement
I have a 78 F -32 express. I noticed my forward drain plug thru hull is leaking. I was wondering what thru hull I need. I was looking at Perko 363DPOPLB. I'm just not sure it's long enough. What do you guys recommend? Thanks again for all the input.

Black water tank location
This may be a dumb question but. I have a 78 F-32 Express. I was looking into the plumbing system trying to track down everything.I found everything but shore water and Black water tank. How do I know if the boat even has a black water tank? Someone put in a porta potty with a drain hose on it but I...

Re: FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
FWIW. I also have a 78 F-32. Mine is an express though. My water pump is under the galley next to the water heater. It is switched on and off from the helm. My freshwater tank is just aft of the v-birth below the floor. No dock side water that i could find. As for the shower pump. I can hear it and ...

Re: Plumbing Questions
I agree. It's not simple. Could you replace it all the way to the faucet with something like this. This is a Lav by 3/8". They make them by toilet too.

Re: Plumbing Questions
FYI. In general tube is measured on the outside and pipe is measured on the inside. Then there is pex its a little off. I just have not ever used or seen 1/4" PEX. The other sizes (3/8" 1/2" 3/4" 1") are going to be easier to get all the fittings and adapters.

Re: Plumbing Questions
I would go with Pex. I am a plumber by trade. FWIW. You should have 3/8" to lav. kitchen and head and 1/2" to shower. Get the brass fittings because they hold up better. Also go with the copper crimp rings not the tin. Shark bites are ok in a pinch but it is a mechanical device. All mechan...
