stove
Not stupid, . If they are safe enough to use at your table at many high end restraunts I think the risk management people would have raised red flags. In any case as I said will have electric power soon. Incidentally I found the same website for electric/denagtured alcohol stoves you cited. I now un...

stove on f-28
Thank you ready 123, I have done a fair amount of reserach and You have hit the nail on the head. No pressured alcohol, apparently my stove is missing the alcohol containers that set under and through the drip pans so as to provide heating flame. Apparently the work quite well. However I have an ona...

elecgtric alcohol stove
Further, I am not ignorant, alcohol is alcohol not white gas. Similiar divices aqre sold today, I gues sI will have to explor them to see how it really worked. Most likely I will re-design the galley and use a small protable propane stove in the end. But curious how the alcohol stoves worked. There ...

electric alcohol stove
I NEVER MENTIONED USING COLEMAN FUEL, BASICALLY THAT IS WHAT WE USED TO CALL WHITE GAS, SOMEONE ELSE BROUGHT THAT UP. Again, the f-28 build sheet from beacon says the stove is an electric (which it is) and an alcohol stove. I cannot figure out how to make it work as and alcohol stove (NOT COLEMEN OR...

F28 stove
I have a 7 f28 and the build sheets say it has a 110v/ alcholol stove in it. I examined it today and for sure it is a 110 stove, does anyone know how you use it with alcohol, I assume it is the gellied alcohol seen at catered events?

f-28 fly bridge steering linkage
I do not as yet have a problem but in reworking my f28 I was having some water leakage problems on the starboard side of the flying bridge into the right cabin area. In searching for it I opened up the chase for wiring and cables from cabin to fly bridge. Now what I noticed is all wiring and cables ...

Engint rotation
I will absoluely replace with the same rotation, but the V configuration makes it confusing. My starbord turns cw from the rear which in normal configuration woul be port engine, apparently it is reversed via the Transmission. My port engine definitely turn ccw. I believe the starboard to be what is...

Engine Rotation of F28
See pics, the port enging has arrow on timing cover indicating it is a counterclockwise engine from output end., CW from front. The starboard enging has a similiar arrow poingting down on the raw water pump bracket. It is the same sticker (My cleaner almost erased it see pic)as on the port engine, b...

engine rotation
Thanks, I am going to take a can of cleaner and clean off the tags and see exactly what I have. I have not checked visually the rotation, but will, I will get back. Going to put fresh engines in and both turning the same way makes easier, cams etc. :D. Heretofore I assumed one of the engines was cou...

unknown electrical device
Not sure, once I get the engines out for fresh ones, I will study it. Just wanted to know if it was a trojan piece of someone added it later, I havent seen any clues yet as to what it really is. Obviously having fins indicats a need for cooling. It could be as you suggest an inverter of Battery char...

F28 1977, on bulkhead of engine compartment, as I am rehabing my boat, I noticed a black finned electrical device, approlimately 12 in wide by 6-7 inches hight bolted to the bulhead. Any ideas what this thing is? Disregard this it is a double battery charger, keeping shore power on it now while on c...

318 engine rotation
I almost hate to start this again but here goes. I have a 78 F28 with two 318 chryslers. Now I know in boating engine rotation is determined from the output side of the engine, that said, I have two paragon transmission V drives and looking at the props they are set to turn towards eachother at the ...
