Re: TROJAN YACHT BURGEE / PENNANT TIME AGAIN
Not trying to pressure you to do something you don't want to, but if you do decide to make some more, I would buy one and pay promptly.

Re: Head/pump out power switch on panel
If the discharge is coming out of a through hull above the water line, it is most likely the vent. The discharge from the holding tank will be under water and sounds like it is blocked as long as the closed valve is working correctly. You probably know this already, but if you get caught discharging...

People do strange things. Hard to imagine not posting another CL ad before trashing the boat -- lots of lost $$$!

Re: chrysler 383 carburetors
The Edelbrock 1409 and 1410 are copies of the Carter AFB and should not need an adapter to fit your intake manifold.

Re: chrysler 383 carburetors
The diameter of the bottom of the spark arrestor is not correct for the new carbs and you need to either cut some metal away or replace them. I bought 600cfm Edelbrock 1409's for our 440 engines and think I might go with K&N marine approved air filters. I am still making final measurements as th...

Re: F44 Cruisair not pumping water
On our pump that is acting the same way, I can remove the cover, turn on the A/C to "Start" to power the pump, and start the impeller by hand. Once I have done this, I shut off the A/C, put on the cover loosely and run the pump again. While it is running, I tighten the screws and open the ...

Re: 2016 Cheasapeke bay rendevouis Poll
Just a heads-up that there has been a bit of off-line discussion about a mini-rendezvous in July for the mid-Bay area. Nothing firm and probably very informal.
Stay tuned for more info...

Sorry to hear you are having to rebuild an engine right in the middle of the season.
Hope you have her back together soon.

Re: F44 Cruisair not pumping water
Sounds like you are having the same problem I was last year. Our boat is still not in the water, so I don't know what will happen this year.
If I figure it out before you do, I will be sure to post here. Otherwise, I am eagerly awaiting your solution.

Re: Led Bulb For Spotlight
You might have some corrosion in the wiring that is affecting the brightness of your bulb. Can you check the voltage at the bulb?

Re: Stalling engine
As per my 440 manual, idle speed at no load is approximately 650 rpm. I am pretty sure yours would be the same.
You might drop yours back to 650 rpm and see if that works. If not, I would not get too upset about 700 rpm.
In gear, you should be seeing 500-550 rpm.

Re: F44 Cruisair not pumping water
The impeller on mine sometimes sticks. I take the front cover off the pump, give the impeller a spin and put it together again. One of these days, I am going to figure out why this is happening. For now, it is easy to do and I have a spare pump waiting to be used if necessary.

Re: Best boat for family - 36' Tri-Cabin?
The stuff you really care about will not be evident on a quick shakedown cruise. Unless you are an expert, you should bite the bullet and get a real survey. You will also most likely need a survey to get insurance. We are on the Bay just south of Annapolis and used Butch Immediato, who is a member o...

Re: Sea Trial this weekend!
It sure is cheaper to change the bottom paint color than all that canvas! Our canvas is navy colored, and it does get hot in the summer, but I like the look. Our big debate is whether to keep the navy front window cover or go to white. I like the look of the navy much better, but the salon gets quit...
