Y valve ???

This is in the system connecting to the holding tank. Suspect it is a Y valve with out the handle. One hose comes up from the holding tank and than connects thru this device to two hoses. One goes up for pump out and the other goes to the hull for going overboard. There is a 3/8 inch diameter metal ...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

RWS, your posting is just in time. Thanks. I was down in the bilge this afternoon figuring our the hoses and decided to see if I could trouble shoot the vacu-flush system starting with the motor/pump system. Your link you posted will be a big help. Probably keep me out of trouble and prevent me from...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

If it isn't working, and I don't have any manuals, where do I start? In the 5 previous boats never had the vacu flush so I didn't even recognize what the "muffler looking thing" was. Try to find someone in town that knows the system I guess. Since we won't be camping in the boat could get ...

Re: Vacu-flush system replacement??

With the vacu flush was some water pumped into the toilet basin, as the vacu flush was turned on. If so maybe vacu-flush could be bypassed and the drain hose go directly into the holding tank. Toilet is higher than holding tank. Assume pump out hose comes out of the holding tank so could still have ...

Re: sink and shower drains on 10 meter

Well, guess I have to figure out the system. See what goes where, and find pump or pumps. Assume they still go overboard. If system as original, sinks, drain overboard and the shower has a pump that pumps overboard. Wonder if they use the same outlet. Unfortunately the the only boat book I have just...

I think this would be considered built in. Right?

Vacu-flush system replacement??

On the 10 meter express is it possible to replace it with a standard marine toilet system? Has anyone done that. If so would appreciate information. Thanks

sink and shower drains on 10 meter

On the 10 meter express the boat owners manual indicates the shower water is pumped over board and "All sinks and basins discharge directly overboard". Since the shower pan is below the water line there is a pump installed to pump "the waste water overboard". Wording indicates pu...

Re: New Trojan owner--need lots of help

Appreciate the detailed reply. Will have to see what the costs would be. We have to run 24 miles down blackwater bay, thru east bay and than Pensacola bay to get to the pass for our Gulf water fishing. Not a lot of traffic thru the bays but a little more bow down would give a little better view. I a...

Re: Re add the trim tabs or not???

Side to side trim maybe the deciding factor. Runs pretty good now, but have a bait well on one side and when that is full may have to put fisher people on the other side to run level. Time will tell. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: New Trojan owner--need lots of help

RWS, they are 1 and 1/2. But note you posted about trim tabs with your yanmars. As I noted out boat had the trim tabs removed. Thinking about putting some back on. Seems to be a little nose high in cruise mode, You noted didn't help your speed but could change attitude. Cummins heavier than your Yan...

Re: New Trojan owner--need lots of help

From looking at the picture showing the large white hose leading down into what appears to be a compartment that could hold a tank, assume that is the hose dumping from the vac pump to the tank. . Assume there must be a hose out of the bottom of the tank that leads to the maserator pump such that ta...
