Re: Windlass for 10 meter
Another vote for the Good. I installed the same one as RWS, even the same bow roller, worked flawlessly, nice equipment, quality parts, very nice family business to buy from and made in the US. Would not hesitate to buy again.

Re: 318 4 BBl carb
Just to add, your choke plate is fully open, but there is a small hanging tab on the linkage at the side which will not allow the four barrels to open when cold. Sometimes the tab is worn and sticks, have a look and watch the linkage as you work the throttle from closed to full open with the engine ...

Re: Plastic Fuel Tanks installed in a 1977 F-32 model 321
If you have the original deck fills, remove them from the boat, they come apart and you can screw a new correct fitting to it to fit the fill hose......access to the fuel fill hose connections is behind the aft panel in the side sliding storage areas. It is quite easy really, just cut the hose that j...

I had something along these lines, turned out one of the gages was not compatible with the other , google how to check your temp gages , then you can cross them off the list.

Ken , in our 78 the factory location was , the compressor was under the back deck on the water tank feeding two slave units, one on the stbd side in the salon and the other in the anchor locker area in the v berth....it was 16000 total and even with a white front window cover was not enough in the s...

Re: No Fuel Drawing From Tanks
Sounds like you may have air getting in from somewhere, that will defeat any fuel pump. Look along the fuel lines going back to the tanks for anything teed into the lines, check valves and fittings for tight, if you have a generator, where does the fuel line come from for it, are the empty tanks and...

Re: 10M 454 closed system overheating
Those hoses need to be installed at just the right angle on the riser to allow the water to swirl inside the hose to cool it.Sometimes people step on or sit on the hoses while working down there and push the hose down, just something to check if you have good flow from the riser as you say.

+1 ...for under the galley sink....one other could be that small access panel under the galley floor, if you have it.

Re: 1981 F32 water tank problem
The water tank vent termination on our 78 was inside the boat attached to a support just behind the removable coaming panel Stbd side......only vents in the hull were gas tanks and holding tank.I can't imagine why you don't want to lift that back deck again....

Re: Crusader 270 runs out of fuel
Next time it runs out of fuel ( engine stops ), dont do anything until you until you take the top off the carb and see what is in the float bowl, if it is empty then you may have stuck needle and seat, fuel pump issues, kinked line, etc, etc, carbs need a level and some pressure to operate properly....

Re: '80 F26 issue
If they put the right curve in that distributor chances are you won't see any difference. You can plot it with some timing tape, and at different rpms see what you get, the engine load will have no effect on timing advance ,it is strictly rpm related.I think if you do a search here on this, there is...

Re: '80 F26 issue
If you are seeing around 30 degrees advance at 2000, then that is about max, spec is probably closer to 27, unless you have engines with knock sensors etc. Maybe not such a good idea to advance timing past that point while under load as the timing curve is very important to avoid detonation. That sa...
