I bet it’s the valve… I think these get overlooked a lot because it just looks like a fitting. Once you get your fuel system clean, you shouldn’t have to touch it again.
If that doesn’t work, I would run that engine off a gas can as a next step.

Re: 10 meter mid cabin fuel starve
Hi, just rec’d your IM as well. There isn’t a filter at the end of the pick up screen but it’s worth checking the tube though. But, I’m willing to bet it’s the anti-siphon valve which is the issue. That is the fitting that the line connects to on the tank. It doesn’t look like anything from the outs...

Re: Trojan 10m Model 341
The mid cabin is a “340”… I only know that because I see it written on the back of some interior parts. One is the fixed panel behind the helm inside the cabin near the door. Mid cabin guys, do yourself a favor and add hinges so it’s a door. Great storage spot!

Re: ProNautic Battery Charger Install Problem
Got it, sometimes the physical constraints on a boat make the decision for you. I was able to rotate my fuses on the battery studs so they cleared the battery cover. This is a relatively newer ABYC requirement (charger fusing at ea battery) and probably a good idea for everyone to consider doing. It...

Re: ProNautic Battery Charger Install Problem
Wow, that’s scary. During my repower, I added fuses to the charging circuit which I never had before (also the same charger). I used MRBF style fuses but only because I called Pronautic or I might have done the same. But, I thought the fuses had to be within 6” of the positive battery terminal? I ha...

Re: 89 mid cabin radar arch ground wire
I had a similar issue @ the arch and with the wipers. On the wipers, I decided to run a dedicated ground wire to the wiper(s) and did away with the windshield ground altogether. I also ran a dedicated ground wire up to the arch and added a terminal block. And I also repurposed one of the speaker wir...

Re: Trojan 13 Meter featured in Miami Vice
I remember seeing that a few years ago, I thought it might have been an 11m though. I do remember it was a long scene, you got to see a lot of the boat which was really cool. Where is it now? Does someone here own it and have a chance to see what it looked like brand new?

Re: inclinometer - correct way to measure running angle?
After all of that, its seems like my running angle is fine. I installed the gauge on the side window and started at zero. Up on plane, cruising around 21k, it read around 5 degrees. RWS, thanks for forcing me to buy that gauge. I’m going to forget the additional weight plan and invest my new found w...

Re: inclinometer - correct way to measure running angle?
RWS, yes I do have drop fins. I agree, in the grand scheme of things, the weight shift is pretty minor. I mean, I could keep my holding tank closer to full if I really wanted to (4O gallons under the v berth). The reason I opened this up was because of the trim tabs. I was hoping with the new engine...

Re: Crusader 454 oil/transmission line replacement
Yeah, I’m with you on that. I have a small oil leak on my port engine and I’m not pulling it out to fix it. It’s the rear main cap. Machine shop made the same mistake on both engines, I fixed one and thought the second was just residual oil. Nope, it’s a leak. Fortunately only when it’s running not ...

Re: inclinometer - correct way to measure running angle?
Unfortunately, I think I'm out of tab options as I already upgraded to 12x24's and added drop fins a while back. My theory, doing some rough math, I shifted about 200lbs towards the stern because of the engines moving aft about 3.5". Being able to stand in front of the engines for maintenance i...

inclinometer - correct way to measure running angle?
What's the correct way to measure the running angle? I saw Bob's post that the Internationals run around 5.5%, essentially uphill. Should the gauge be set to zero as a starting point? At rest, my boat is pretty close to level, looks to be around 1- 1.5 degrees. I got this measurement by holding the ...

Don’t forget, those aeroquip fittings are reusable. I didn’t have to buy any fittings, just hose. Same with the fuel lines.

Re: 10m mid cabin - Crusader 8.1's initial impression
quick update, I finished up my break in period of 10 hours and changed the oil. I cut open the filters and didn't see anything of concern. I also sent the oil samples out to Blackstone, maybe I'll get those results this week. After the oil changes, I hit 5,000 RPM's and backed off because of the iss...
