Re: Drum switch

Rick, The switch is not in any pics of my rebuild. It was removed off a 1978 F-32 that I purchased in Texas that was canabalized to finish my 1975. The switch is 5 inches square and about 5 inches deep, slightly larger at base. Rotory switch, Gen, Off, Shore. It is white with black letters. I also h...

Re: Distributor HEI conversion?

Hi bshive95, I just replaced mine this spring. I too have 233hp merc's 351 fords. I purchased new distributors from Sumitt Racing. They are both the same part numbers, but had to purchase a different gear for the counter-rotating motor. I also bought new high output coils and used my existing wires ...

Re: Just my 1973 F322 cruising, 27 mph, how fast is yours?

My bridge enclosure open, 4 adults, 115 gals fuel, 40 gals water I reached 31mph @ 3400 RPM's on GPS. Conditions were calm and fresh bottom paint. Very happy with those numbers...

Re: Bridge removal for transport F32

K4282, Everything is color coded in the wire loom. It is actually divided up in I belive 3 sections. The first has the most wires and the others have less. Looks harder than it is. Don't forget the trans and throttle cables, mark them with tape so it's a no brainer to re-install. You will need 4 str...

Re: Trim Tab hydraulic leak

Just bought 2 OEM replacement cylinders from Aftermarket Marine. I bought them without hoses for 44.95 each plus shipping. You can get them with hoses installed with their crimp clamps. Cheapest quality cylinders on the www.

Re: Fuel senders

Prowlerfish, I am sure you will like those senders. I purchased 5 senders and 7 gauges from them. Fuel, fresh water, gray and black water. They all work great.

Re: Matching interior teak varnish on F44

On my 1975 F-32 I used Minwax 215 stain, matched color really close. Then Goldspar 60 satin varnish. I don't like glossy finishes on the interior. Very happy with the finished product.

Re: 5 year plan

Don't loose your drive. We owned ours for 5 years before she got wet. We stripped back to just a shell. Repaired or replaced 95% of original. Trully a labor of love. Would not trade her for anything. Spent many days working, but when finished that particular project what a great feeling!!!! Made it ...

Re: Buying my first Trojan

Jerry, If you are loking for feedback on a F-32, mine will be bias. That being said, I love ours. Since the first time I saw one in 1973, I was hooked on the design. The bridge has plenty of room for 5 comfortably, and yet being safe. The cockpit has 60 sq ft. Enough for a table and a few deck chair...
