Re: Removing the lower helm from an f32

I can't upload a PDF page for some reason but here is a cut and paste from the book I am dragging my feet on. I'm getting there but it's a slow process. Anyway, the cockpit photo is from 1973 and it shows the factory helm on a F32 Sportfisherman so yours was modified sometime in its life. http://i11...

Re: Soft starboard deck on a 87 Tricabin need advice

p.s. Mine was appraised at 10 times what the canadians think they're worth....that's the advantage of an '87 Ten times the value of what Canadians think they're worth is not a fair comment in my opinion. The fact that RB's 1987 Tricabin has been appraised at between $65,000 and $95,000 dollars prov...

I have learned that the only thing a hour meter on a boat tells you is the total hours on the meter.

Re: Cheap F32 in Conneticut

k4282, your boat is basically a F32 sedan with a shorter house and is open to the cockpit. The lower level layout is identical to the sedan. The Express (322) has the house and lower helm farther aft and about 5 more feet of lower level length. On the express there is a settee on the port side forwa...

Re: Soft starboard deck on a 87 Tricabin need advice

It's the same old question, buy cheap and put more money into it than a nice one costs or pony up for a nice one. At this point in my life (and I'm not that old, I think?) I won't buy a boat that needs tons of my time and effort. To many surprises and not enough fun time. That being said I still loo...

Scott, that's the "320" F32 express. A little more common than the Sportfisherman, but they look almost the same :) :)

Great job and great write up. Personally I have never used a level on a boat but then again my boat has never been level enough for it to work :D

I just remember a very early season snow storm in Washington that closed all the airports and Al gore couldn't get into town to make his global warming speech.

Besides. The normal way to make you boat worth 30 thousand is to spend 50 thousand restoring it.

Re: MyBoat

Im just wondering if it makes it worth more that the fact that it's rare only because I may have the only one left. The short answer is no. unlike the classic car world, the word "rare" doesn't seem raise the value of a boat. Boats seem to hold (or raise) there value if there is a large f...
