Re: 36ft Trogan tricabin new owner
Lee, If you are cruising from Delaware to Myrtle........ that is an extended cruise and I'm going to assume you're going down the ICW beginning at Norfolk. As you're in Delaware, will you be taking the canal across to Northern Chesapeake Bay? Then you will still have the whole of Chesapeake Bay to c...

PK Great Work! Good for you. Lots of struggles but still persisting. Lucky for us we're not all trying to reply to you in Norwegian. :) Being the victim of a bankrupt restoration company with your boat in the trustee's grasp would probably stop most of us from continuing on. Many of us could relate ...

Re: Everyone's favorite subject...VACUFLUSH!
Hi All, My toilet had hairline cracks as well. But this is in one of the Carver built Trojan's. The marina ordered a replacement, took delivery and then found upon installation that it was bigger than the original. They installed it anyway and I accepted the result. Works fine. You sit up a little h...

Re: wood species on F32
Hi Jimmy, Boat looks good. I enlarged your photos trying to recognize mahogany rather than teak but in the end, have to think it's teak. There is definitely teak in the cockpit and so probably the same wood used down below. But, just an opinion.

Re: Outbox is my Enemy
Hi Prowler, Thanks. Okay, I understand. Never really knew how that Private Message option worked. So, it's up to the recipient to open the private message I sent them first and then it will automatically be moved from my Outbox to my Sent file. And yes, my Sent file is 100% full. Do I manually empty...

Re: My First Boat - 1997 Trojan 390 Express - Caught between 2 worlds
Hi Saltlife - you may need to private message me with some sort of email address, because the Forum software seems to have a problem with my replies to private messages and leaves them languishing in something called the OutBox. I still have replies sitting in there from last summer.

Re: My First Boat - 1997 Trojan 390 Express - Caught between 2 worlds
Saltlife68 Re-read your post re: the icemaker. I think you meant the refrigeration mechanism connected to the icemaker. Yes what you referred to as a heater is only connected to the icemaker. I haven't managed to junk my icemaker yet, but it's on my bucket list for sure. Storage space is already lim...

Re: My First Boat - 1997 Trojan 390 Express - Caught between 2 worlds
Dear Saltlife68, Glad you located the charging problem. I am a little confused by your question about the heater. Did you perhaps mean "under the mid cabin seat"? In my boat, there is an eleven gallon Seaward electric water heater/heat exchanger. It's located under the mid cabin seat (the ...

Re: My First Boat - 1997 Trojan 390 Express - Caught between 2 worlds
Saltlife68 Just happened to be online and saw your post as it came in. I'm leaving for the boat shortly and will check out those cushion dimensions. The battery issues are something I have almost given up on. I will say though that when we go to the boat, we find the batteries completely charged and...

Re: My First Boat - 1997 Trojan 390 Express - Caught between 2 worlds
There are any number of very experienced Trojan owners on this Forum with heads literally stuffed full of both Trojan and Boating knowledge. They will be extremely helpful to you as any question or problem that pops up here seems to have someone who can usually answer/solve it. Those are great photo...
