Re: 11M and 12M Convertible boats' draft and other info?

Great info Todd . explains a lot! My 2014 boating season has been curtailed with a popped ACL, torn MCL and torn miniscus in my left knee. Had surgery Wednesday and it hurts like hell still. No more dirt bikes (or skiing) for me ever again .. :( Do you think you could live on a 12M Convertible for 2...

Re: Stuck intake valve

Rusty valves sound like water in the fuel = bad. Did you have a fuel-water separator? Did you injest water at the end of the year? Might consider upgrading to hardened stainless valves ... working great in my old 350 Corvette that was designed for lead (lubricates valves), but you'll also need heads...

Re: Whats a F32 worth ( project boat)

Paul,

Love my F32 (and your F36), but blown gasoline engine boats aren't terribly valuable. I'd guess $5-8k in average condition with bad gas engines.

Love to see one with a single 450HP diesel in the middle - 1.5mpg ICW cruiser ... could be cool.

Good luck!

Re: Trojan 1983 F32

Be sure to check that the old impeller hasn't ripped any blades off. If blades are missing, be sure to blow them back (backflow the system with low/medium pressure water to push them out), or they will plug things up and cause overheating when you run the engines at speed ... Congrats on a great boat!

Love the radar on that arch - on a 32 mile lake! ;)

We see people at Marina's with their radar arrays spinning 24x7 ... whats up with that?

Re: Dockage Fees

This is my second year of owning my Trojan 10M and the costs really do add up! I am right on the NH/ME border and pay $65 a foot for my 40ft slip. That price is for retired military and the $2600 includes shared water and electricity. I think it was $300 to store it for the winter. Its a 10 minute ...

Re: Dockage Fees

$12k/year ... ouch, but I've seen higher here.

Glad I have mine at my dock here at the house ... couldn't see paying that for renting dock space, when it could be going towards the mortgage payment.

Re: Seacock/Strainer advice do's/don'ts...

Problem is my boat was completely gutted and re-powered with diesels, so I wouldn't rely on hose sizes, and can't see the casting.

I'll take more measurements and try to get a caliper down there I guess ...
