Hynautic Seal Kit Change for 12 Meter
Just found out a seal in my Hynautic let go and there was steering fluid all over. The clean up took longer than the install of the seal kit. I had and H20 series Hynautic but I wasn't sure which one. I found out only by removing the steering pump and cleaning it up that the model number is on the u...

Re: Shaft Log Size 10 Meter
Lubed the shafts back up again with soap and slid them thru the cutless bearing. All back together now. On to a new thread....I had to turn the rudders just a bit to slide the shafts out. I get back the next day to clean up and I find steering fluid all over helm lower wall. One of the o-rings let g...

Re: Shaft Log Size 10 Meter
Put 6,000 lbs of pressure on the hydraulic press and it still wouldn't move. Got an oxy-acetylene torch on it. It got serious. Finally it popped. Guessing two possibilities, 1) previous owner/installer installed the couplings with a method called interference fit, where you heat the right before you...

Re: Shaft Log Size 10 Meter
Holy !@#$. I can't get those shaft couplings off. I tried my buddy's home made press with 4 bolts and a socket on the other side of the plate to push out the shaft, no luck. I added some torch heat, no luck. I quit. I punted to a mechanic who is going to bring his hydraulic press. Keeping my fingers...

Re: Shaft Log Size 10 Meter
Ok, so I went into the engine room today to measure the stern tube. On my 12M I have 1.75 inch shafts and the stern tube is a tiny bit above 3 inches.

Re: Help... IT's STUCK!!! Waste Tank fitting
It definitely unscrews. No doubt it's on tight. Large slip pliers will do the job. If you break it this might be your replacement. The picture shows that it's threaded. https://www.marinepartssource.com/dometic-22-vented-holding-tank-probe-cap-sealand-313000350?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2I7tman_4AIVCo7ICh2b...

Re: Shaft Log Size 10 Meter
If you have the shaft log size for the 12 Meter I would appreciate that too. Save me a trip into the engine room.

Re: shaft packing,traditional or dripless
I'm in the same spot with my 12M. I'm overdue to replace the bellows or change back to traditional types I currently have the PSS Dripless (been on there for a LONG time,) and I have to say that I'm very impressed. Not single drip underneath them. However when they fail it could be catastrophic. I h...

12 Meter Pulpit
Has anyone removed the pulpit for a 12M? Around the windlass is seems soft. Balsa cored? I'm debating whether to remove the pulpit and get it fixed or just have it fixed in place. Seems like a whole lot of work to disconnect the windlass and the remote spotlight since there are PVC junction boxes wa...

Re: What model Hynautic Ram is this?
Thanks.
No repair needed, just trying to find capacity size (displacement) in cc's.
Need that number to find appropriate size of autopilot pump.

I can't find any model number on the unit.
