Re: Window shade color thoughts
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I am trying not to start new ones on similar subjects... I am looking for a way to treat the windows to cut back on heat as well as protect the salon and galley from further UV damage. My F32 is a hard-top, and my primary use is fishing and therefore I am often ...

Re: Stuck Window
That's a lot like what was happening with my other boat. Why does it have to be THIS window?

Re: F-32 potential parting out
Away on Business. Is this your boat, or are you looking for someone to go in with you on it?

Stuck Window
New to me F-32... I have spent about a total of 4 hours on this boat and most of that cleaning it out and preparing for winter. When I was there last I tried all the windows in the salon. They all slide open and closed rather easily except the one at the helm. It took quite a bit of force to get it ...

I will look up your article (if you posted it here), but if you have the link off-hand, it would be much appreciated.
Should I figure on just replacing the impeller first before turning it over?

Getting the Onan Started
My new to me 78' F32 is equipped with an Onan 6.5 genset. I am told that the previous owner had not run it for possibly more than a decade. I have no reason why, but to be honest, there is not much need for a generator on a fishing boat. It's nit the highest priority, but I am curious if I can get t...

Re: Winter Repairs Wish List
WOW Thats a lot of work!
I would be happy with:
Sand and varnish all teak on the inside (especially salon and Galley)
Buff out all fiberglass
Remove current lettering and replace
New carpet in salon
New carpet/wood floor in lower cabin
refabric bolsters in dinette and berth

Re: Oil Filter Relocation Recomendations
That looks nice! I like that bracket mounting idea. I was thinking of going around the front to the bulkhead but it looks like yours is a shorter run.

Oil Filter Relocation Recomendations
My new to me F32 has the "traditional" oil filter set up. The port engine is easy to get to through the center access panel, but the starboard is the hard one. I would like to relocate that filter around to the center. Any recommendations on a a kit? I've been looking at a few hot-rod kits...

Re: ok one of my dumb questions.
I use a 30 gallon tub, an old bilge pump, 20' of garden hose, an intake fitting that I fabricated, and a bottle jack. I put the tub right under the exhaust and fill it with 4 gallons of anti freeze. I run the garden hose from the pump to the intake fitting. The fitting is jacked up to the bottom of ...

Mini AC in Berth
New to me F32... I've been reading a bit about adding AC units and I surprised to see that the recommended size is 16k BTU. I was looking around and I noticed that the opening to the anchor locker is just about the perfect size for a 5/6k btu window unit. Although it seems that this is far from the ...
