Re: LED Lighting and in General
For the fluorescents, remove old fixtures and replace with LED tape lights. They come in a roll, i think 16 feet long, has self stick adhesive on the back. Just cut to length, sick on, and connect to wires from old lights. Can be bought online, Home Depot also carries them.

Re: Bad smell in 10 meter closet
I also think it may have something to do with your sink drain lines. It is possible that one is leaking into the area below the sink, My 10 Meter's area under the sink and behind the frig vents into the closet, I think it does this for cooling for the frig. I would remove the trash can and look to s...

Re: 10M Engine Room and Bilge question
If your International is like mine, the wood cover between the 2 engines is the cover of the holding tank. I'd have the tank pumped out before taking a look inside.

Re: Vacuflush removal
Okay, got the toilet out of it's enclosure. Turns out there is an access panel in the bulkhead between the Engine compartment and Head. It's hard to see because the sound proofing is hiding it. Do not know if it is a Factory Access Panel or cut in there from some previous repair. Would be virtually ...

Re: Crusader 270
Run your boat with the engine hatches open. If the problem does not show up, bad coil. If problem still there, fuel issue.

Re: Crusader 270
Try a new coil. I have had this same kind of problen in the past and it turned out to be a weak coil. Everything was fine untill the engine compartment got hot, then the coil would start to break down and the engine would act like it was vapor locking. Idled fine but would fail under a load.

Re: Cleaning Gas Fuel Tanks
you should feel uneasy, using a shop vac in a gas tank is asking for trouble of the explosive type. Better find another way. Air pumps that use a venturi are safe.

Re: Internationals: How Dry Are Your Bilges?
I always seem to have a little water in all 3 bilges. My air conditioner condenser drains into my forward bilge. Except for the forward bilge, there never seems to be enough water to make the pumps run. I think some of the water comes from one of the engine strainers, I think a gasket leaks, I have ...

Vacuflush removal
This has probably been asked before, but how do you remove a Vacuflush bowl from a 10 meter International. I have removed the toilet seat, cut away the caulking and the bowl is free to move. The problem, the flush handle is preventing the removal of the bowl. No matter how I move the bowl around the...

Re: Active Captain Site and Kingston to Sylvan Beach
Have the Active Captain App. Have not used it for navigation however we use the user information for local hazards and approaches to sandbars and marinas. We boat on the Mississippi River and this information is pretty useful. So far we like the App.

Water Heater
My all electric water heater needs to be replaced. I am looking at Attwood, Seaward and Kuuma 11 gallon electric heaters with heat exchangers. Does anyone know where to tie the water lines into the engine cooling system. I have a 1981 Trojan international with Crusader 270's closed cooling systems. ...
