Hynautic steering
I have a 1989 International and I believe I need to add fluid to the system. I see a small cylinder with a small pump to pressurize system at the back of the boat. The fluid can be seen through the site glass and is below minimum. How do you add fluid to this system? Thank you!

Re: fuel tank float
Not sure about the gas vs diesel. The two wires are just the feed for the gauge

Re: fuel tank float
It’s an easy fix... couple screws on the top of the tank and it comes right out. Replace with new unit. Fixed mine right up!

Re: fuel tank float
I have 10.8 international and changed my float several years ago. The original one lost its buoyancy over the years. I was told originally they coated a cork with a shellac the broke down. They use different materials today to prevent this from happening.

Rudder Gauge
So the rudder gauge on my 89 international is looking tired. I would like to change it out and was wondering if this is a plug and play. Do you need a specific type of gauge? If you have two engines does that change the type of gauge required, etc.?

Re: Battery choice
Yes, plugged in with charger and run gen when out. The boat is an 89 with crusader 454’s. I think I’m going to switch to cranking batteries. I appreciate your feedback and knowledge! Thank you......

Re: Battery choice
So, the boat had dual type batteries when I bought it so that’s what I replaced with last time. Our boat is always plugged into shore power and when we are out we run the gen. Sounds like just a cranking battery would be best for us????

10.8 International vent boxes
I seem to get large amounts of water entering my bilge through the large hose attached to each vent box behind the stainless grill. Anyone know of a way to avoid this. Also concerned with the water running down the hose into the blower. Thanks in advance.

Crusair SMXir
I am having trouble with my Crusair SMXir ac control panel. I can't seem to get the unit to switch to cool via the cool
Button. All the buttons seem to work except cool. I tried to factory reset it but no luck. Any ideas? Thank you!
