Don, I measured both entranceways into the salon (back door down into the rear bedroom and up into the salon that way ......as compared to coming thru the cockpit and down the steps) In my '74 tri-cabin it was easier to remove the door between the rear bedroom and the salon and thereby gain about an...

Yep, I can hold my hand on my engines too when they're at operating temp. The only heat issue I've ever had was three summers ago when the weeds grew so abundantly. I managed to suck up a bunch and then up went those temp guages. I limped in on idle. On idle the temps stayed down but even a little b...

They're working on the pennants this week. A few bugs with the liner material, in between each side, but I'm satisfied. They are also doing some big orders for wholesale clients and so we keep getting spaced in between... but that's okay.

Cheers

Don, Are you working on the boat this week-end? I'm hanging the new curtains I finally got around to having made for the rear bedroom. It's supposed to rain all week-end but I may go up to the marina and sleep aboard anyway (only 12 miles away from home). Are you going to keep the boat on Lake Ontar...

Congrats Don,

I'm drivin' a '74 TriCabin as well. Good luck with that warm engine. Solvable for sure.

I've done a few changes in mine over the past ten years that you may be interested in. Let me know.

Welcome to this forum.

Cheers

I had to take a rip saw (electric) and cut my old fridge up into pieces in order to get it out. I pre-measured the width of the door jamb coming up into the salon from the rear bedroom and then went out and bought a new fridge from Best Buy and took the door off it in order to squeeze it thru the pr...

Kevbo, I believe that is " GROUTING" that you are terming as a rubber gasket material. Mine is a black grouting whereas on some boats (although not many Trojans) the grouting is white. Grouting is purchased at your nearest chandlery and come in a tube. Re: Grouting - I dig out the old grou...

Kevbo........that's quite a rocket. Congrats. I Love it. You'll get the leaks straightened out. Had some myself this summer from faulty window seals. Always something I guess. Good luck.

Sehord I think those 454's, without a reduction gear will rev out top power at around 3800..... whereas a 350 cid, can get up to around 4400 rpm. Don't know why you're losing your top power, although electronic ignition and fuel injection come to mind. Obviously, the good fairy didn't put bigger pro...

I installed SEALAND vacuflush toilets and they work great - GREAT!

That airliner sound you mentioned sounds like a Sealand system to me. Check out their website.
