Are those distributors marine approved? i am looking for new distributors for my crusader 454 now! But i think i want to do marine approved and stand alone distributors with built in coil.

try taking the belts off one at a time.....i thought i had a rod or crank bearing knock when i unwinterized,even knocked louder when letting off the gas, but ended up being a bearing in my raw water pump. took belts off , ran with no knock.

changed my spark plugs this year...(twin 454's) boat would only pull 3400 rpm at wide open throttle.(both engines).... one spark plug wire was accidently left off a plug,(on starbord engine)... when found and replaced on the spark plug, the boat ran perfect 4200 rpm at 33 mph...damn Captain Morgans!...
