Lets switch gears a little and talk about some fishing. I run a 6 pack as well as some charter boats for a 2nd job. I just made an account with S&S tackle. They make AMAZING bucktails and jig heads. Im putting together an oprder if anyone needs anything. I fish for fluke, stripped bass, blue fis...

I like to keep the speed down so I can see my surroundings.
Im getting 3200 at WOT 16 mph. I should be getting 3600 easy.

Re: WayWeGo Repairs and Improvements

Captrichc, are you thinking a fiberglass hardtop or one from hardtotop? Either of them can support an anchor light -- the one supplied by Atlantic Towers used a Perko head on their own shaft. I plan to convert it to LED soon. I tried to wire the new light directly from the flybridge switch, but was...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal

No sketches Captrichc, I work things out in my head mostly. Basically I'm extending the existing hatch opening towards the sliding doors. the tanks measure 48" long so I'm going to make the opening about 50". I haven't remembered to measure the height clearance yet because I keep forgetti...

Re: Ford 351 w / merc 233

I have the ford 351 in my 1975 F32 with the 2 bbl carburetors. The motors run fine. The only issue I have is I had to put manual chokes on them. Both motors want to be fully choked on the first start, as soon as the motors start I can fully open the chokes and they run just fine. What kind of RPMs ...

Re: Refitting a 1976 F-32 Journal

I've been over every inch of these tanks and they look and feel solid so for now I'm sticking with them. I am making the hatch bigger so the tanks can come out when needed. But with that said I have a fabrication shop pricing new aluminum tanks. But from what I have read aluminum tanks can go bad p...

I'm doing the same thing this winter. No rot on the stringers that I know of but the teak deck is shot. More to come in the next few weeks.

Re: Winter project list

Is the "portable" a/c one you set on the deck and run the exhaust hose out a window or is it something more permanent like a window unit or ??? Interested since I would like to AC the helm area on our boat. Thinking an RV unit on the roof. 10 meter express with arch removed etc. The porta...
