Re: FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
It does help, THANKS! I have both connections as pictured, and low and behold, there is a garden hose connected to the spigot. There is another switch labeled "Washdown", so I guess that narrows it down a bit  When I hit that switch, and can hear another pump, located in the back r...

Re: FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
There are two.... One is an out-door type spigot, and the other is a white plastic hose fitting with a cap. I believe the washdown pump is attached to the spigot. This is a new boat to me and I have not floated it yet ;) So I guess I will have to track the hoses down. Curious though, I have a switc...

Re: FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
I have an F-32. How would I know if I have a shore water hookup? I have what looks to be a standard garden hose hookup on the starboard side deck wall near the glass doors. I thought it might be for wash-down. does it look like a 'traditional' out door type faucet? if so, then i believe it is the s...

Re: FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
thanks guys. the first attempt to go from onboard to shore, i had the water heater bypassed for winterizing. in essence, a closed loop system. no problems with using the onboard pump as i was cleaning the tank of antifreeze. (i generally clear the system like this because i do not like 'pink' getti...

FAULTY SHORE WATER HOOKUP?
hey all in trojan land. FINALLY, the marina has turned on the dock water. after flushing out the onboard systems, i hooked up the water from the dock to the boatside connection. turned on the water at the dock, then went aboard and turned on the galley faucet. what i got was a trickle. forward head...

Re: What a Lady F47
How about those skylights in what appears to be the salon (or is a saloon in a boat this size)? I am guessing that is a custom upgrade. Either way, I love the way they look. Anyone know how fast a 34,000 pound boat can cruise with twin 454 gasoline engines? the large skylight was fashioned out of t...

Re: Spring is Here!!!
i de-winterized my a/c system today. engines/genset sometime next week. hopefully. the water temp was 47f and the bilge was 52 thanks to my engine room heater. brad is terrified that i'm jumping the gun on this one, but, as long as the water temp is in the 40's, we should be okay. canvas goes up in...

Re: LectraSan Waste system
I have had an Electrosan, since 1994, so is an old system which used a 2 gallon tank of mixed salt and water for consistent mix, rather than counting on everyone to throw correct amount into flush (Raritan electric head). After a friend bought a later system, with a digital metering system and tank...

Re: Calling all Woodies
OH MY GAWD............what a great thread!!!! wooden boats not only look amazing when they are kept up, the ride is smoother and more forgiving too. i think they are quieter too. the smell of varnish and refinished teak (freshly sanded) is totally intoxicating to me. at the boat yard near me in mid...

Re: A Cool Find
Good stuff, great little find...even more amazing ,how you keep the same boat from new for 41 years must be some sort of record...Mike my dad had our 1972 f-36 tri cabin, (factory delivered with custom options in may 1972) until september 2008. i grew up on her and knew every nook and cranny and ev...

Re: 74 tri cabin shore power
Update on power. Turned out had a polarity problem on a extension cord I repaired. Now fixed and have power. Battery charger works. Warm weather has deck drains working. Batteries have been pulled to see which ones are salvageable. Any ideas on my next move? here is what i suggest as your next move...

Re: 84 Tri-cabin unknown device (sensor I think)
On my boat it is the windshield washer pump. yep. that's what it is. larry, if you go into the bilge, look behind the genny. you will see the pex pipe tied into the water supply. at least that's how it's installed on my boat. i've disabled the thing. don't see the need for it, not now anyway.

Re: Questions about buying a 1976 Tri fly trojan boat
I am sure that you will love the space on the boat. Our maiden voyage was a 2 week journey, were we went through 4 locks, a section of Georgian Bay, and 125 miles of Lake Huron. It was the wife and I, with 2 teenagers and 2 lab puppies. The boat is roomy enough that we didn't kill each other. Also ...
