10 Meter Express Cruiser 1983 here not a mid cabin model. The water tank here is probably the same as WES's. It's located under the storage locker under the carpet in the salon floor. The strainer is a good idea, and if you have one you need to check it. That water IS getting out of that tank from S...

Rick,

there are a number of really nice retreiving magnets on the market, including those with flexible pickups.

Or you could just turn the whole car upside down and shake it !!!!

Hi Scott, The 1983 express cruiser (not a mid cabin) carries a 40 gallon fresh water fiberglass tank built into in the keel under the center of the salon floor and a 40 gallon fiberglass waste tank, also built into and below the engine room floor. The head empties into the waste tank, all other sink...

Scott,

The manual for my International is very basic boat stuff. The most valuable items are the wiring charts and schematics.

You will find that every wire is identified with a number tag ..... makes things easy to trace.

Other than that the manual is very general

Get an Exhaust Sep or Gen Sep while you are at it.

The cost is minimal plus 1 additional thru hull and enough hose to do an inverted loop.

It will seperate out the cooling water from the exhaust.

Kiss that annoying noise goodbye.

The explosion proof lamps are availablefrom WW Grainger. You can get them on line. They are basically the same as the factory engine room light. You can install 12volt incandescents that look tha same as a standard 120volt lamp, except they run on 12v and are available at marine and RV retailers. Ge...

Here are some photos of the engine room during the refitting from the factory Crusader 454's to the Yanmar 6LP engines. I have also included some Trojan items on the hull design and the graph on her speed/fuel burn/efficiency before the refit. Let's see if this works.... http://s215.photobucket.com/...

Congrats on the new genny.

I replaced my old worn out Onan 6.5 in 2002 with a Next Gen 5.5 diesel.

The difference in reliability and decrease in noise made me smile.

You might consider a gen sep system in your exhaust line, it really makes a diffeence in the noise level.

Engines and gen set are farther aft diffeent ratio transmissions and different sized props shorter shafts resulting in smaller diameter props spi...
