10 Meter Express - RADAR ARCH NEEDS NEW HOME

Well I did it. I ordered a new hard top from Atlantic Towers. Its being made and I should get it in a few weeks. While the boat was being hauled from Baltimore to south of DC by trailer, the previous owner's self built hard top went missing. The driver didn't even realize it happened until I met him at the other end. It was a bad day. BUT, now I get a serious hard top! So, now, what do I do with the Radar arch ?? Anybody have any ideas? I am sure it is worth something to someone except that it would be a pricey thing to ship. Any body have any experience with removing the arch? How about any experience installing a new hardtop? Any input would be appreciated! :?:

Tragic to hear the previous owners hard work was lost in transit! I dont have an experience with removal of the arch, but i know a few people on here have rebuilt them so im sure someone will chime in. She looks good!

Very nice looking vessel!

Would hate to have been the guy behind him when that top went flying.

I put an AT hardtop on my previous F32 over the cockpit. It was very easy to do. It took 2 people about a day. We made a temporary support out of 2 X 4s at the right height to hold it in place while we bolted it on. Don't know if you will have to do that or not since yours will probably have permanent legs. It was a very nice top. Just very expensive. Good luck.

I recognize that railroad bridge in your first photo!

We recently bought a radar arch from Atlantic Towers that I still have to install. It looks very nice, just like all their products that I have seen. The only issue we had was on the shipping side when they failed to notify me that it shipped, causing a problem for our boatyard.

WayWeGo. You know where I am then! How long did it take them to build your top? Mine happened to be 1 of 2 tops for the same boat so I got a discount and supposedly they will get it built faster for some reason. Did they send you any hardware or instructions? I keep forgetting to ask them.

We only got a radar arch, but it was supposed to come with the hardware. I have not taken it out of the box because I need to store it for a couple weeks more, but I expect all the hardware will be there. There are instructions and videos on their website. I will say that I learned a lot from their video that was not in the written instructions, but the quality of the video was so poor it was annoying.

I ordered it on a Monday or Tuesday and they said they would ship the following week. It went on earlier than expected on Friday. That was in March, so they may be busier now.

Please post photos from your install. I think many of us would like to see them.

Ah, now I know where you are as well. That bridge scared the pants off me with my last boat. I knew I would fit through the channel, but it sure didn't seem like it. I had to fuel up before heading down river. Beautiful area there.

PS. I like the look without the top.

How wide and tall is it? I am debating adding one to our F36 flybridge.

At the base it is something like 10.5 ft. I will have to measure height when I get back down to the boat.
