My 1977 F-32 (351's) with original gages pegs both upper/lower oil gages on the port engine. With key off they go back down, but when energized they peg.
Are both gages tied together or do they have separate or leads from the sending unit? Last fall they were reading fine. being the port engine it's a bear to get to the sending unit to try a mechanical gage. Any thoughts

Re: Both upper/lower Oil gages pegged
A shorted sender or a sender wire short to ground of the will cause them to peg. Some apps have a separate sender for each station and others have a single dual station sender.

How do i test the sensor? Remove the wire and use an OHM to go from ground to sensor case?
Thanks
