Any Questions for Harry Schoell ?

Post by RWS »

I will be doing an interview with Harry Schoell next week for the website

http://trojanboat.com/

If anyone here has a specific, worthy question, I'll get it answered.

What does Harry think about so many of his boats being around 30- 40 years later.

It would be great to hear more about the efficiency aspect of the hull and his view. As you know, there is a huge gap between what Trojan thought it would be and what it ulimately became (pretty ineffiecient). I think I read that Harry sold Trojan on the idea that 85HP diesels would provide sufficient power.

It must have been exciting to introduce such a radical new hull design (Delta-Conic)! Especially after such a hard year(1980) at Trojan. Looking back what are your thoughts about the Trojan American C-26 built in Lancaster? Approximately how many were made when production started in 1981 up until the time when don left Trojan?
