Shipping / Transport

Post by dolcesol2 »

I am looking for any recommendations on shipping/transport companies for a 10 Meter from Upstate NY to Lake Norman NC.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice, good or bad.

You still have time, locks are free in N.Y. this year fill her with fuel and take a cruise save money and see a portion of the great loop at the same time. Just a thought because a 10m is going to cost a lot to ship.

Fair enough I wasn't sure if he could use catawaba river or not. I still think a marina on the east coast of NC to Charlotte would be easier to find and cost less than upstate NY to there.

I got and f28 from Lake Erie to my house in TX using UShipit.com, and had good results.

I also had good results from https://www.uship.com/. Mine was shipped from Maryland to Georgia, and required a trailer wet launch upon delivery. I ended up using Tim with R & F Marine Transport https://www.facebook.com/RFMARINETRANSPORT/. He was very good, with great communication. It is not cheap, and beware of some of the shady guys on uship that will not get the proper permits.
