F32 fuel delivery question

Post by dab62 »

Hello all. I wanted to know on a 4 tank set up, if one runs out, does it automatically shut shut down the flow, or do I need to do something to shut down the empty tank.
Thanks for your help.

With the 4 tank set-up, you always want to shut off the tanks which you are not drawing from.
If you are drawing fuel from front tanks for example, say the port and starboard for their respective engines, you'd have the crossover valve closed along with the rear tanks. And vice-verse for when you're running from the rear tanks You can also run both engines from any one fuel tank, just be sure other tanks are closed but keep the crossover valve open for both engines to draw from that one tank.

To answer your question, if you run out of fuel in a tank, you would need to switch to another to draw from and shut that empty tank off manually.
