For clarification the midship vents on F Boats were the exhaust vents and the aft vents are the intake vents.

Thus, the aft vent openings face forward and the midship vent openings face aft.

The vents look at each other.

This was done because there is negative pressure midship which allows the mid ship vent to exhaust more efficiently.

The vent ducting on the inside of the boat is designed so that the forward is the exhaust and the aft is the intake.

Having both the aft and midship vent openings facing aft restricts the engine room venting capacity. The same would be true of any other vent opening direction that is not as described above.

The aft and forward vents primary purpose was to dilute any gas fumes or other explosive fumes from the engine room.

They also served as air intake to the engines. As well as to cool down the engine room

We have or can make vents for all F boat Trojan F-24 - F-44

If by chance you own a F-29 we have the odd size aluminum vents.
