Swim Deck Project

I recently completed my swim deck project and wanted to share a few pics. I made a jig from 3/4" plywood to shape the deck to the curve of my transom. Then I clamped the 3/4"x2" red oak strips in place dry to number and mark the center line and cut outs. Then I took it apart and made the cuts for the drain cut outs but left the length to run wild.
Then I glued, clamped and screwed each piece using Tightbond Waterproof wood glue and stainless steel screws. I sealed the bottom side with fiber glass resin because the bottom will be hard to maintain. The top is planed, routed, sanded, stained and sealed with marine grade spar varnish. I have new stainless steel brackets and need to schedule the shop at the marina to haul the boat out so I can install.
