wiring schematic

Post by hammerhead »

1979 f30 flying bridge with twin 225 chryserers. first of let me say i hate wiring. starboard oil gauge reads correctly but since we bought the boat the port has been pegged at 80. we tested the gauge by swapping it with the starboard gauge so we know the gauge isnt the issue. the dual senders on both engines look identical, both alarms work fine when you turn the key. tested both the ignition and ground wires and both read properly. ran a jumper straight from the sender to the gauge but it still wont read properly. i did read the sticky about trojan gauges as all the gauges have a ac on the bottom of the gauge i assume for ac delco. can anyone get me going in the right direction before my head explodes???

Are both upper and lower stations doing this ? Did you swap senders ? Also a shorted/bad gauge on one station can effect the other
