Hi. New to forum. I just purchased a 1963 (according to title) Trojan. The newest Survey says it's a Sea Voyager but the flying bridge has a "Sport Fisher" logo on it. I can't seem to find much info on this boat. Survey says hull number is 414415 and has a mahogany plank hull. This boat has been sitting at dock in the water here in Clarkston WA. for 8+ years. The bilges seem pretty dry and clean but above water line it's pretty ugly. Exterior is painted white and peeling a bit. PO covered all the horizontal exterior surfaces with roll roofing! so I can't see condition of the wood decks/cabin roof. Has twin 350 crusaders which were installed in the 80's. They show 700+ hours and start right up. PO has been living aboard for 8+ years! I couldn't pass it up at the price he was asking and will either do a partial resto or just part it out.

Why can't I seem to find any info on a 1963 36' Trojan? Thanks for any info.....

I'm going down to take some pics and will try posting them later.

Sea Voyager 36' sedan I believe . I would be concerned about the bottom if its been sitting 8 years with out hauling out also that carb may not be marine . You have a lot of work to do .

A sedan aye. So the fact it's not leaking doesn't mean the hull is OK? I may have found a 40' trailer I could pull it out with. Not sure as it's for a Snake river jet tour boat and the shape may be wrong. The guy I got it from says he thinks it'd be worth $4000-5000 tied up at a dock in Portland but I don't know about that. Going down the Columbia river with it might be a fun trip though, especially if I had a buyer at the other end.

No leaks is great ,, but that's no guaranty of hull condition . A hull needs to be properly supported when its out of the water . Other wise damage can occur . If its worth 4-5k why did he not get it ? ( assuming you got it for less) I do not know its real condition so I have know clue of its value .

The hull number 41-4415 is not a good hull number for for a 1963 36’ Sea Voyager

41 is not the model number for a 36’ Trojan

81 is the Model number for a 36’ Sea Voyager

The fourth number 4 is the year which could be correct for 1964

The last three numbers 415 is the number of hulls build to date and that would be to many. There were maybe twenty 36’ Sea Voygers hull made in 1964

A good Hull Number would be 81-4015

I will see if I can match your picture with stock photo.

The planking on the Hull is definitely a Sea Voyager hull.

Thanks for the replies. The owner is retiring from the Army Corps of Engineers and heading to Japan he says. His last day on the boat is this coming Saturday. I didn't buy the Trojan to try and make a killing profit wise. I'd like to find it a home and an new owner that wants to save it. Just not sure that's me....You don't see wooden boats much these days.... The slip at Hells Gate Marina is paid thru April. Yes, I know I need to be careful when hauling out, that's why I was concerned about the trailer. I'm thinking the first thing to do is find out how sound the boat is before anything else.

I have a 1964 Trojan Seavoyager. It is 36.5 feet long. Have some info on it if it helps those with '63 Trojans. I am looking for a trailer for the boat. Do you guys have any suggestions?
