Help... IT's STUCK!!! Waste Tank fitting

Post by Resolute »

I am trying to remove the vent/level indicator for the waste tank in my 10 Meter Sedan, but unfortunately I am not having any luck. This looks like it screws on, but my attempts to unscrew it by hitting the tab edge with a hammer/screwdriver have proved unsuccessful. Has anyone removed this before? Am I trying to unscrew something that simply pops off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try a plumbing Strap Wrench; can purchase from Home Depot or Lowes.

Mine was on real tight. I used PVC Slip-Joint Pliers from Home Depot.

It definitely unscrews. No doubt it's on tight. Large slip pliers will do the job. If you break it this might be your replacement.
The picture shows that it's threaded.
