1986 10 meter express, no mid cabin, but with twin 300 hp Cummins. Boat trim tabs were removed some years ago. New boat to us. Comes up out of the water and runs pretty good. Our first three hour trip bringing it home--22 knots at 2400 rpm. BUT the bow seems to be a little higher than the other boats we have run at cruising speed. I have searched the forum and found only one 10 meter express with diesels that talked about trim tabs. It has the 315 yanmars which turn higher rpm and weigh less than the Cummins. His notes indicate speed won't change but can change running attitude. That is of interest to me but don't know if it would pertain to our boat with Cummins and don't have any idea of cost to put trim tabs back on the boat. If anyone running with Cummins or similar weight/hp diesels would like your thoughts. Thanks

It won't hurt but with the heavier engines they may not be needed that much . Not sure what the heaviest engines that came in them . One nice thing is you level the boat side to side running .

Side to side trim maybe the deciding factor. Runs pretty good now, but have a bait well on one side and when that is full may have to put fisher people on the other side to run level. Time will tell. Thanks for the suggestion.
