Looking good Cappy keep up the good work... What thickness ply did you use? are you fiber glassing over the top then? Gelcoat?

Im using 1/2 in marine ply. With 2 layers of chop strand matting. Then 2 layers of gel coat. With no skid.

That's my plan also for the deck... lol. It's nice having someone doing the same thing and sharing our ideas as we go. This forum has been a great help. And I'm sure our work will help the next guy...

Make sure you lay the CSM in opposite directions. 1 layer port to starboard and next bow to stern. Make sure you cut everything before wetting out the wood.

Finished all of the filler work. Tomorrow i will sand and start fiberglassing the deck.

What did you decide to use for the nonskid?

Using crushed walnut shells mixed in with 1st coat of gel coat.

Installed all of the through hull fittings. All 4 installed and siliconed in place. Next phase is ordering the trim for the hatch at 200$..... yikes.... next step is i need to figure out how to do the impellers on the merc 233.. and then ill be glassing friday and saturday.

Ok was stuck with work for a few days and looking for a new house. Well all of the through hull fittings are installed and siliconed back in place. Ordered the through hull fittings for the genset and i put the first resin coat on the back deck. Thats a big mile stone. I will be glassing thursday afternoon. Need to drill the holes for the pickup and the exhaust for the genset.

Here is an updated list to still finish.

Install fitting for genset
Install genset
Install new transducer
Install new radar
Install fuel flow senders
Install new nmea2k system
Install the nolan engineering rs11
Oil change both engines
Replace fuel filters
Clean boat.
Finish hatch for rear deck.
Canvas is at shop for the fly bridge.
Remake engine hatch due to soft spots.
Get outdoor carpet for temp in salon.

Im sure im missing something.

I don't see "restock beer" in that list....
I needed a less expensive hobby, so I bought a boat!

If this below the water line do not use silicone . Use something like 4200 or 5200 .
