Rear windows on my 75 F32 sedan

Post by AwayOnBusine$$ »

Need to replace the rear 2 windows on both sides. Any ideas of best approach or where so source. Any body parting a F32 where the glass can be salvaged.

Are you talking about the 2 aft 'sliders' on the sides, or the big panes on either side of the sliding door?

If the first one, glass can be cut by someone local if you can take them what you have to be used as a template, and Beacon can walk you through how to get the existing ones out and new ones in (they gave me the 'talk' when I ordered new H channel from them).

If the second one, maybe folks who have done engine replacements, and may have had to pull the glass out to get the engines out/in, can coach a bit.

It's the first/ and actually could use the back 3 on the port side. Have the H channel already. Just looking to save some bucks.

Thanks for the response.

H-Channel is the replacement for the top and bottom channel the allows the window to fit in the section were the window sits. This fills the space so the widow fits the reservoir. Bob at Beacon can give a much better description of the process.

Its basically the edging for the sliding window panels that holds the glass on one side, and slides along the guides in the window frames on the other.

Here is a picture of it https://www.trojanboats.net/zencart/ind ... cts_id=199

And here is a thread that talks a bit about it viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1624

And another viewtopic.php?t=7764
