Greetings...
I blew out my freeze plug behind the bell housing on my 1976 Chysler 318 F30 Express boat. Have any of you been through this. Any advice on me doing this myself? Are there any good video's out there describing the process? Thanks for any help!

What caused the casting plug to come out? Did you forget to winterize the engine? You should be able to tap the brass pulg back in. If you can put the plug in a freezer than hammer it back in.

Bump on an old post.. Any luck with this?

I have a plug leaking behind the bell housing ( port engine, plug near right head). My plan is to attempt to replace the plug by just loosening what i need to to get in there enough. I am working on an F31 and have lots more room than you i bet, but the coupling to tranny etc should be about the same. Did you find any videos? Did you have to pull bell housing out completely to get in there?

Thanks,
Tim

Done this job this about 5 years ago.
You will have to remove the bell housing and velvet drive, as well as the flywheel to access the the two freeze plugs.
