Trojan F36: "No lower Helm?"

Post by Steve424 »

Hello all. I recently acquired a Trojan 1979 F36. Hull: 4610503. 1st question of many.

Why is there no lower helm? Was it a factory option not to have one installed? Everything looks original on the boat. Including the wet bar that resides where the lower helm was, never was or should be?

Can't seem to find much information.

Some were configured with out a lower helm , so yes this was a option . FWIW I have only ran mine one with the lower helm , don't like it . But some love it . while I wish I had the "bar" instead it is nice to be able too start the engines from below when working on them .

Roger that! Well, I'm spry enough to go up and down the ladder to the bridge. I like the way the cabin layout flows without the lower helm. Not to mention all the booze the previous owner left in the wet bar.

Yes, newly purchased. Excellent condition!

It's missing the F36 owner/operator manual. And the other manuals that go along with the engines, fridge, princess stove top, air conditioning, ice maker, etc. Can't seem to find any documentation for the taking on the internet.

EDIT: 9/21: Never mind. I found the details on how to order a manual. Thanks Bob @ Beacon Marine.
