Greetings from a former F32 owner

Post by gettaway »

Hi All
I thought I's stop in and say hello and read some of the forum posts - I hope all everyone is doing well.

Update, we sold the Silverton last year and bought a Sea Ray 420 DA, I never thought I'd be an express boat owner, but we were presented with a deal that was a bit hard to pass and we had just obtained a 50' slip in our club, we have a take it or lose it and go to the back of the line and a size conformity rule, so we needed to move up or lose a 50' slip we'd waited on for 8 years.

The boat was a 1990 time capsule, dated everything including tube TV's and a VCR and dual cassette deck!

I did pretty good on the sale of Silver Lining and bought the Sea Ray right which gave us enough project money to have the upholstery and flooring done by professionals, as much as I enjoy the boat projects, It was nice to contract this out and 3 months later the boat is transformed.
She is powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 375 diesels with only about 900 hours and has pretty much every option Sea Ray offered at the time. I bought the boat from the original owner and he kept it original. The canvas is in perfect shape, however, it is 90's blue - which I do not like, but because it is in such good shape, we cant justify changing it out just for color.

Congrats on your new boat -- she looks very nice!

I hope you stop in from time to time. I really enjoyed reading about your F-32 projects when we were trying to decide if a F-36 was the right boat for us.

Now you have to update your signature and avatar... :)

nice boat !

You may find that while the express style sacrifices some interior space and amenities, it does allow the operator to easily single handle her.

Congrats!
