Found in dash
Does anyone know what what this is for and what it does? Has wires 2, 14 and 43 going to it.

That part is a diode for battery /emergency start system .

1985 Tri-cabin, how's it work, I know how a diode works. Does it automatically connect battery banks?

. Sorry for the late response Yes it automatically combines the batteries when cranking . There is a manual switch also in case one is too low to activate the system .
