International inside lighting

Has anyone changed out these ugly hospital room looking lights? Just looking for some ideas.

Yes, kind of. I replaced the quirky flourescents with 19$ strip led from Walmart automotive section: better light, less amp draw, no muss no fuss.

We replaced our florescent fixtures with LED strips. But we left the "lens" in place.
